Ironbird Creations – Active Project

Phantom Hellcat
January 2021 – Present
Principle Level designer of Phantom Hellcat, a dynamic slasher-platformer in a theatrical setting. Fast-paced, high-action, and focuses on mixing 2D and 3D elements in the same space. It’s a challenging, entertaining and unique project to design!
Being an active project, a ton of the great work from here is under NDA and can’t be discussed. Sorry!
Endeavour Studios LTD

Gems of the Dungeon
June 2020 – August 2020
I was contracted to design a text-based, rogue-lite, mobile game for Endeavour Studios LTD. As a generalist designer at the time, I was both the designer and artist of the project which was completed in 3 months.
You can read more about my role, the design process and the retrospective Here!

University (Dissertation)

Dissertation (1st Class)
October 2019 – June 2020
While the project of the dissertation was cut short due to the 2020 Corona Virus Plague, the preparations and work put forward into creating a level driven by Environmental Storytelling was highly educational.
You can read about the techniques used in this project and more I’ve learned since Here!

Personal Projects

Homebrew DnD Dungeon Master
October 2023 – Current!
7 Players, 1 Dungeon master! After organising with work colleagues to start a DnD Campaign, the popularity to play but a lack of knowledge to bravery to DM was absent… so I took on everyone! Split into two parties of 3 and 4, playing in the same world and the same campaign, with the ability to accidently affect each other’s games, has created a surreal and incredibly fun weekend escape.
Making the world from scratch helps fulfil that narrative itch. World-building to me is throwing awesome fantasy concepts into the logic-focused part of my brain to make it make sense. In turn, my lore and homebrew rules documentation spreads over 20,000 words, from how magic works, NPCs, Political conflicts and historical events from multiple points of view.

Warframe Clan Owner
January 2018 – Current!
I’ve run a Warframe Clan for over 6 years and is one of my proudest achievements. While we’re not as active as we used to be, the community remains strong, with all the in-jokes, weird stories, hobby-sharing and complaining you expect from people who have played the same game over 6 entire years.

Mobile Phone Background
June 2023
A larger pixel art project to create a phone background. The art uses gaps mapped to the standard app positions to not block the artwork. Some of these are obvious, such as the cave entrance and building fences, but also include the kobold’s positioning, the floating islands, the kite and even the rock detailing.

Rust Fan Update
November 2020
A personal fan-based update for the game RUST, specifically modular vehicles. At the time, they were under-utilised by the wider community, so I sought to come up with some new additions to make them more enticing to both Combat and Roleplay players.

Python Console Game
October 2019
A game made within the Python console to extend my programming knowledge. The goal was to create a game that was easy to add more content to by adding appropriate lists into dictionaries while also being as compact as possible.
(Python file can not be uploaded Due to Word press security rules, available for the curious though!)

Game Group Poster
September 2019
A poster I made for a team within the same game, took a couple weeks due to a year of experience creating art combined with the team’s less successful result.

Game Group Poster
September 2018
A poster I made for a team (of over 2000 random people) within the text-based game TORN, which took nearly a month to create due to the open creativity of the people involved.

Starbound mod – Jackal Race
November 2017
A mostly artistic project, trying to replicate a released game’s style to implement a character mod.
